Proud to live in the Eye of the Storm - Good job Hurricanes! Congratulations Red Wings.
But I'm with you, if people do not have somebody yelling at them to stay off the handrails, they will be on the handrails. I've found PKD to be extremely famous for that, & the guests act as if it's terrible for the op to make 'em hop down. Many rides, especially Grizzly which I believe they've instructed the ops NOT to make any kind of communications with riders, it IS the silent treatment. PKD definately needs to enforce, just like you say. They check your restraint & off you go. They seem to be, many of them, generally burnt out on the people. Not that I wouldn't if I were in their shoes, but ops at other parks, mainly BGW, seem so much more less POed to the public.
BTW, PKD doesn't mind people sitting "on the bottom rail". What? It still makes the things loose! That's an expense & upkeep that's avoidable, people shouldn't ever sit on those things. But, that's something different all together.
