New update on La Ronde Goliath

La Ronde just updated their website with more pictures.

It shows the almost complete brake run, with magnetic brakes all the way till a regular brake trims it to bring it into the pusher tires.

Why does it look so much like Superman? With Red Yellow and Blue.

I saw them and died! This is going sooo fast...so many, if not most, of the footers are in place. The brakes look pretty steep, next update will probably be the lift starting!

Did anyone else think the ride was going to be orange?

Just saying since this and the other are both being built at the same time (the one in georgia is further along though) by B&M, why not the same color scheme. If paint amounts to anything would it cost more for the extra colors rather then more of the same their other coaster is getting?

It's already been speculated that they're painting it Superman colors so that they can rename it Superman once La Ronde gets flagged.

With this investment, why not just name it Superman (Supreman? ;) ) and get it over with....flag the park already!

The problem with that is cultural! The people would most likely reject the park since it would turn into an "american thing"! That's probably why it wasn't flagged in 2002, 2003... Also, the names of the rides have to be either french or both languages (a vampire in french is still an undead person who drinks blood, lol!). So, you can't have "Batman: The Ride". Batman would do... as its a proper name, but ride? Batman le manege? Yuck... that sounds horrible!

Anyway I keep on thinking how amazing it is that they are working on it even though it must be far below 0 °C now over there.

Yeah... I know the guy who take those pictures and he can't take them at a faster rate... the conditions are horrible! Sunday night and monday morning, there was ice rain all over Montreal!
