New Universal Attractions

Anyone else excited aobut the two USF and 1 IOA attraction that are supposed to happen over the next few years? Universal said if their attendance is good that the rides are a go and hearing the numbers from Spring Break in Orlando i think that the chances are pretty good. I've heard that 2 out of the 3 rides will be coasters. The one in IOA could be a flying coaster which would be awesome.

I really want to see Universal put in a Giovanola Dive Machine their instead of a B&M flyer.

All I "know" is that the 3 new attractions are planned for somewhere "in the complex", and that the plan is contingent upon attendance over the next quarter....

The speculation is rampant, and is ramped considerably by Guest Relations adding fuel to the fire on an as-needed basis....Once anything specific is announced, it'll be here. Until then, let the rumors "fly"..........

Whatever the ride may be, let's look at the park's (brief) history here... You know that if they do end up putting in a flying coaster, it's not going to a conventional one by any means, especially with America's only other B&M flying coaster in Georgia. There will be something spectacular about it, no doubt.

im for any new ride there, it's my home park away from home. BTW i felt IOA needed more rides, i finished the whole park in a little over an hour. USF needs newer rides, i mean i've never seen earthquake king kong and many other themes of rides. Those movies are from, what, the 70's?

I thought USF's rides were great...and so did my 9 and 5 year-old daughters.

Frankly, I hope they stick to their strengths -- immersive adventures -- rather than any more coasters. IMHO Montu and Kumba stomp all over Hulk and the Dragons, anyway. They should leave the coasters to other parks.

Dang 'playa, did you have to say it like that? I mean, I agree that Kumba takes a roaring chomp out of Hulk's big green butt AND the Montu is not only the god of War but the god of looping coasters. But the dragons are pretty good...correction Pyrrock is excellent! Blizzrock...well Ice is like Raptor (and that's all I have to say about that ;))

Besides, if we were really shutting down people we disagreed with, would Jeremy (2Hostyl) still be around? :) I think not. - Jeff 1/24/02

I *may* have ridden Montu too many times already...and I'll grant that. But Fire Dragon, Pyrrhock, the red side of DD, is my fav looping coaster in the state at this point. I think the originality of layout is what *makes* Fire. Ice, Blizz, whatever, used to be fantastic, but the bumpiness has become an issue....maybe that's what you get when Ice breathes on the rails....still wish the bowl of land were themed...

I like DD quite a bit...buuuut if you separated the dragons and took away the elaborately themed queues, you'd have some pretty dopey coasters.

I can't say too much more without giving away the storyline of CoastaWeek Day 2. Maybe I'll get it out this weekend.
