I was at Nor-eastcoaster yesterday and park manager from Lake Compounce was a guest speaker. He told us there will be a new thrill ride added in 2006 but it will not be a coaster. He didn't say what it would be but said enthusiasts would love it. He did say that it would be placed between the ferris wheel and the log flume. Also SFNE reps were there to show us pictures of the construction for the new spinning coaster. They would'nt say for sure what is was they said we would have to wait for the announcement on Thursday the 24th. They said they were going to post the pictures on their web site.
Wait what did the photos look like of the SFNE construction and there going to post photos of the coaster like sfgadv is doin w/ KK on their site?

So SFNE & SFA are both announcing their 05 attractions on thursday huh?
And what are the chances they'll be announcing the same thing?
Is there any chance that SFA could annouce a small steel coaster as well? It was part of the master plan, right?
So does anyone have any guesses as to what Lake Compounce will be putting in? My vote goes to a frisbee ride of some kind. I don't believe there is any in the New England area is there?
The area between the ferris wheel and the flume isn't very big so it must be some kind of flat ride. Maybe a Top Spin? Oh, wait...
I was thinking more along the lines of one of the smaller frisbee rides like Knoebels is getting. The footprint between the Giant Wheel and Saw Mill Plunge doesn't look that big but perhaps one could possibly go in there.
