The official New Texas Giant media day is on Thursday April 21st, that's the day after tomorrow. With it's official opening to follow on Friday April 22nd. Anyone from the Buzz planning to attend either of these two events?
I'll be there on Friday, hope to see all of you!!
That makes much more sense than Memorial Day weekend. They've been testing for some time now.
I really waffled on that one, but ultimately decided not to go given the other travel I've been on lately. I hope I don't regret it.

I will be there at opening on Friday.
What better way to celebrate the death of our Lord?

I'm still here.
...
...oh, you mean, him.
I really wish I could go! Would love to see more pictures!
Or maybe he meant Capital H I M.
Okay I've given you enough Gaga for today.
Good way to celebrate earth day too. ;)
What with all of the media coverage going on today there's bound to be a ton of new reviews and videos out there. My understanding is that ACE, Theme Park Review, Coaster Force as well as numerous other media outlets will be in attendance.
And, of course, I'll be there tomorrow bright and early! Look for my review of the New Texas Giant so appear sometime early Saturday morning.
This ride really does look AWESOME!!! Maybe even El Toro awesome!
I really need to get back out to Texas to ride this!
Hope they run all 3 trains and don't stack them! :)

What does Capital H I M. mean anyway?
It's from Lady Gaga's recent single "Born This Way". She is insinuating that she is speaking about "Him", which is Jesus and God in the Holy Bible, but I suspect, since in the lyrics she capitalizes all three letters, that she is referring to His Infernal Majesty, which is Satan. lol
...Which has nothing to do with the Texas Giant, and I'm sorry for continuing that part of the conversation. :)

Really cool example of how much the track and structure flexes at 2:12.
That video was awesome and the ride looks incredible. It looks so smooth. I must find a way to get to Texas and ride it!
Collin Aynes
God this ride looks amazing!
Cedar Fair PLEASE do this to Son of Beast! PLEASE! lol
They could make that ride be one of the best coasters period!
Just got home. Only got 1 ride in the very back seat. Waited 1:30 (from the bridge by where the antique cars used to be).
The ride is really amazing. Solid air on most pops, extreme air on a few. Very smooth. Doesn't feel at all like wood. It's even smoother than El Toro. The overbanks and tunnels were just gravy.
The first drop was outstanding and the flying carpet finish was also pretty darn cool.
Probably in my top 5 steel (in the company of S:RoS, X, MF, and PR).
