It's definitely going to be a freefall ride, not a coaster, per the below link. The described J shaped track just about confirms that it will be the rumored Arrow Fishhook ride. And the actual height will be 740ft per the attached:
So you will have a complete 700ft drop, probably will level off 40ft above ground to clear the Strip which it is rumored to cross. A 740ft tall freefall ride hardly sounds boring to me!
Though i am a coaster lover, a freefall ride on the side of the Starosphere would ruin it's beauty.
