New show on Discovery Channel

There's a brand new show on Discovery Channel on Friday January 2nd, 2004 at 8pm EST. It's all about Disney Rides including ToT, Mission Space, Rock n Roller Coaster, Dinosaur, and more. Looks pretty cool.

Are you sure it's new? Because Discovery already has a show that goes inside WDW and shows how all of those rides work.

Its definitely new. I looked on tvguide.com and it said the release year was 2004. Im going to watch it.

What really angers me is that Discovery doesn't air the same programs in Canada as they do in America, especially when the material can be easily enjoyed by both countries. Only in America will this show air, and I've had this done to me many times before. I wish that they would realize that us Canadians enjoy thrill rides and amusement parks as well!

So has anyone seen it, I thought it was good except for the psychiatry anayslis ( I think that he was doing). It was new Im surprised no one has talked about it.

It was a nice showcase of rides. I felt that it was a little too scripted and rehersed. It was obvious that it was an infomercial for the Disney resort. I liked it though.

Yeah, it was good, but not what I expected. I swear I remember seeing a show exactly like this but it didn't feature Mission: Space in it...

I liked it, just because I think any show about rides/parks is great. It could have been better though, if it wasn't an hour long commercial for Mission: Space.

Any show, eh? So that would make you the Paul Reuben of roller coaster programs.
EDIT: I swear I saw this one show where they must have said the word "California" at least 40 times throughout the entire program. That is no exaggeration. Yes, we GET IT. California has nicer weather than the Midwest. *** Edited 1/18/2004 4:41:37 PM UTC by TTDTom***

I saw parts of that show & thought it was a bit stupid...it ranks right up there with that extremely boring thrill rides put to the test nonesense they ran last year.

Hopefully thrills,chills & spills will be good this year because last year's offering wasn't the best(extreme rides 03 was good though),but I guess it was due to a lack of new rides in parks for 03.

Personaly, I thought the show sucked. The dialogue was made for some five year old who has no Idea what a Theme park is. The ride "inside" look was good, since I've never been to disney(and don't plan too) and had wondered just like what these rides were. Unfortunately the (awesome) footage couldn't overcome the Horrible dialogue so it was off within 20 minutes.

Maybe I was mad as well since I missed the TOT part which was the only one I was really looking foreward to seeing.

Speaking of the Discovery channel, any news on when a new general coaster show will air with 2003's rides like TTD?

TTD was featured on extreme rides 2003...it was the final ride shown.
