If you haven't already seen them, Gamespot posted a few new screens for the US PS2 version of DDR Extreme.

Thanks for the pics, but I really hope the game doesn't revolve around the Eye Toy feature. Does anyone know if it is an option?
It is going to be an option, I think most of the eye toy features are mini-game type.

There are only 10 types of people in the world - those who understand binary and those who dont.

It's going to be the same damn thing we've seen in every other game. Why would they get rid of it for that?

Well someone brought this up a while ago and said the people at ddrfreak.com were complaining like they stopped the game completely. I was just making sure.

The people at DDR Freak get a little too, uh, worked up over nothing. Makes coaster geeks look like well-adjusted socialites.

Actually, a lot more information about the game was revealed last week on ddrfreak.com. There's a link on the main page. Basically it lists pretty much all the songs available from the beginning.

I was underwhelmed by the list, but mostly because the bulk of the list is either new-to-DDR songs, or (surprise) repeats. Some of the repeats are .59, Drop Out, Ecstacy, I'm For Real, etc. There's also a lot of really old stuff coming back (from 4th mix and earlier), such as Wonderland, Only You and Do Me.

A couple from the arcade Extreme that I'm excited about are Jet World and JaneJana. Both great songs. Add that to CSFILSM and SS<3M... not to mention that a reliable source has guaranteed at least 80 songs and more than one 10-footer... and this should, in the end, turn out to be a pretty good mix.

I've always had a soft spot for .59. It's nice to get it on a PS2 title.

*Looks at the list on DDRFreak*

Wonderland? Only You? Neverending Story? DO ME?! *DIES!*

Some of my favorite songs I never thought I'd see again, especially in an US PS2 mix. Add other awesome songs like Highs Off U, CSFILSM, Janejana, Jet World and Sweet Sweet Love Magic and of course the unlockables and I'm definitely stoked for this mix.

A new story on GamePro.com releases some more info about the game, including these tidbits:

GOOD:
-A new Max song called Maximizer;
-two new songs based on the Silent Hill game music;
-A and V are included.

BAD
-70 songs;
-songs NOT a part of this game include Bag, Cartoon Heroes and Paranoia Survivor;
-the scoring system is, again, not the same as the arcade.

Here's the article:

EDIT: Upon further inspection of that Web site, I found some screenshots that confirmed the following songs:

B4U (and its Oni remix)
Wild Rush Oni remix
Absolute
321 Stars (Woot!)
Tsugaru Apple Mix
Trip Machine
Trip Machine Survivor
