New recruit

Hi coaster junkies. Just thought I'd introduce myself as a new member of coasterbuzz. I've just moved from Northern Ohio to Iowa, but Cedar Point is still my home park in my heart. My favorite roller coaster is, yes, you guessed it, Raptor. So now I've introduced myself. Feel free to reply.

Why would you want to move from Northern Ohio? That really sucks. Welcome to Coasterbuzz! *** Edited 6/1/2004 1:31:28 AM UTC by Steel Venom07***
It was'nt my decision. It was my dads. Besides the town we lived in wasn't so great.

Well, do you live on the north or south side of Iowa? If you live in the north, Valleyfair! is about 3 hours, and if you live in the south then you've got Worlds of Fun not to far off. Atleast your still surrounded by Cedar Fair parks.
I have also heard some good things about Adventureland.

Andrew C.

i live in southern Iowa

oh that sucks. Well, Valleyfair! is reachable if you want to drive it.
Or you could just spend all of your time at Adventureland, SFGAm, and SFStL (depending how far east you are).

hmm... RaptorNut...CPNut...any connections??
Lover,

I thought you were on to something. Then I realized that RaptorNut can actually spell, write in full sentences, capitalize, and has decent grammar skills.

Hey RaptorNut, what kind of Pancakes do you like? Also, have you ever ridden M:TR?

Guess who's back? Back Again? James K's back. Tell a friend.

Personally, I like buttermilk pancakes, and sorry, I have not ridden M:TR (whatever that means)

"Life moves pretty fast. If you dont stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it."
Both the pancakes and M:TR are "website" jokes that never seem to die...

Don't worry about it, and if some one brings it up just ignore the post.

M:TR is an inside joke that people bring up way too much, as well as pancakes, if you ask me(which you didn't but I figured I'd say so anyhow:))

I'm sure you'll find out if you stick around long enough....

But since you are new as well, and want to introduce yourself(so much of that going on lately...hmmmmm...), here are some friendly tips I gave RollerCoasterClint:

First, when there are smileys(esp. winking smileys) in a post (ex: :) or ;)), that usually means sarcasm, or that there is a hidden meaning. Astrices ***** (those thingies) also mean the same thing in Gators mind, for some reason, but he's just weird, so don't mind him.

welcome to CBuzz, most important advice, before you start doing major posting, read and get a feel for the site.

Oh, and watch out for mOOsh, he's dangerous.

Oh, and when it comes to M:TR, Pancakes, Cap'n Obvious, or any other inside joke, just ask nicely and someone will explain.

Oh, and the club is not for jeff to make money, and the games site will never be free again.

Oh, and....well, I'm sure you'll figure the rest out;).

And no matter how many people suggest it, There will never be a "Anything Goes" Forum on Coasterbuzz.

Guess who's back? Back Again? James K's back. Tell a friend.

Although "anything goes" on some of these forums already. ;)

Kyle Says: Diamondback was a lot of fun! Made his first time at Kings Island worth it all!

Welcome to Iowa, nice to have another Iowa local on the board. The good thing about Iowa is we really aren't too far away from many good parks. There is Adventureland (my personal favorite park), Valleyfair!, Mt. Olympus and the Wisconsin Dells, SFGAM, SFSTL, and Worlds Of Fun. And all of these parks aren't all that far away.

Don't forget the Mall of America and Arnold's Park. What part of Iowa are you from?
