New RCT3 Website Launched

www.rollercoastertycoon.com is officially the new rct3 site. They have some great POV footage in the CoasterCam Section. I've been sceptical up until this point...those POV videos look AMAZING.

EDIT (after looking around a bit):

-Now we'll have a fireworks exchange on CB Games?

-The standard looping coaster appeared to have an inline twist.

-Custom lighting on coasters looks like a go (a question brought up in another thread) with this line in the press release:

"RollerCoaster Tycoon® 3, will challenge players to create the ultimate night time amusement park experience by adding lights to coasters, rides and pathways."

Fireworks mixmaster? Incredible! I may use this more than I do the coasters! ;)

ok how big is that cobra roll on the mega coaster...it looked HUGE! this is gonna be a reeeeeeeeeealllllllllllllllllllllllly addictive game from what i see.

LOL, I agree MarimbaGuy, the Fireworks mixmaster sounds VERY fun. I have played the fireworks game in Disneyland's Innoventions attraction many many times and can never get enough. So I am sure this will be no different.

And the fact that you can score it to your own MP3 files is sweet icing on the cake!

Also cool was the mention I read where MP3 files can be used anywhere even on "speaker elements" that you can place in the park for theming. WAY cool.

Already I am thinking that this may become my favorite game ever.

I love what they finally have done, now you could play the fireworks too your favorite tune! I want to play with the fireworks a.s.a.p. when i get the game,oh and i want to race on the go-carts! lol! The only thing wrong with the website is the old patches, information and exchange for the original is all in little links a little hard to navigate, but I can't wait! I hope this finally has that real "tycoon" feel to it!

Hope they will fix it before the game is sold to anyone.

Well i think this was discussed in another forum, but i think that was just a promotional video and the sound was reduced, I'm sure the full version of RCT3 has all and better features and sounds then whats on the site.

The more I look at the features the more I drool in anticipation.

I think I may lose a few months of my life when this comes out.

As far as creating and sharing new coasters go, are people going to rate how it looks from the overall view as in RCT2 or are people going to ride the rides that we create and share and base ratings etc on what they were like to ride, moving ever closer to No Limits rates :/ *** Edited 7/7/2004 11:05:37 PM UTC by Ross McColl***

I go with Mega! I loved it, although the sounds have to be better in the game or i will just be upset! :)
