New POV of X!

America Coasters.com has a new video of X! I just downloaded it and think it is sweet.
whoa! that was sweet! :):):)

my second obsession

I guess the videos are nice enough, but I would much rather being watching the ride from the rider's perspective, instead of a fixed camera's perspective. Especially since on this ride the seats rotate and doesn't give you a real visual representation of what the ride does.

I have to agree with RavenGuy98, they need to get a POV of the riders point of view.

The thing was making me dizzy! When the cars are going in the forwards direction, the camera is upside down, and its like "arrggghhh, data overload, abort abort" or something. i can't imagine anyone seeing that for the first time and wanting to ride it, lol.

I'm so disoriented I can't even type.....c'mon, JUNE!

The videos are cool, but really don't give an accurate depiction of what the ride is all about. I wish there would have been an actual rider's POV, but that was enough to bring back some memories.

At any rate, I don't think that watching POV videos can prepare you for what the ride is like. This is true for any ride, but I found it to be even more the case with X. The sensations on X are so unique that the actual experience is so much more than what the videos, etc. would imply, that I could only "get it" by actually riding X.

That is very true, chris. No video is going to give you a representation of what a coaster is actually like, and that point is taken to the extreme with X. It really just isn't comparable to anything I have ever felt on any ride, ever. Its totally different from everything in every way.

People have asked me to describe it to them, and I'm honestly at a loss of where to even start because there's not an accurate reference point. Too cool... :)

There is a POV from the riders point of view at www.rollercoasterfreaks.com .

www.coasters2k.com has full POV of X from rider perspective along with some great shots from the ground.

Did anybody notice on the flip that the cars seem to shake a little bit. Does that make it feel rough at all?

I'm also surprised that the park has not released a mounted POV from the rider's perspective... I would love to see one as well.

B&M ROCKS, from the video on coasters2k, it looks like you would notice the subtle back and forth movements while riding, but when you look at the POV, you can't really tell that there are any movements except for maybe the wide turn. I can speak for those that have ridden it, but from the video, it doesn't seem like it can be noticed.

Sept. 11th 2001, Slayer released God Hates Us All. The song "Disciple" uncannily describes the events of that day, as well as the anthrax letters that followed.

No, not at all. Although if you are expecting it to feel like a B&M, that's not what you are going to get. This thing is paced and feels much faster and much more furious than your avergage modern steel looper.

I rode X this past weekend. This ride is the smoothest ride of them all, even when the seats rock a little coming out of the station. The only thing I can explain is the first drop is awesome. After the first raven turn, your pic is taken and then you flip back. After the big turn around, I'm lost after that because of the twists of the track and your seats flipping at the same time. Overall I am glad I got a chance to ride it since I live in Cincinnati, OH. Thanks Arrow and SFMM for a fun ride!! Keep 'em coming.

Lookin cool, but it's not really a new pov, those are the pov's they had on the media day video if you watched the whole thing

These were actually shot before media day at the b-roll taping.
