New patch: pink water

It's a patch that gives you pink water. Oh BOY!!!(sarcastic)

http://www.rollercoastertycoon2.com/patches.asp

Seriously, why the heck would you want pink water? I never really caught on to the orange water (or lava, whatever they call it) in the *futuristic* scenerios. Little too cheesey for me, I guess.

We really needed pink water... even with all of the other, more importmant, things lacking in the game that could be fixed with a patch.

When I first loaded RCT2, I said, "you yeah, they need pink water." I guess my wish finally came true. *tear*

sigh...

Yeah, real nice freaking update. Like anyone is gonna use it. How about something useful like fixes for all the damn Error Trapper crashes this game experiences or our terrain tool back. I honestly wonder sometimes if Sawyer isnt the only one with his hands in the code and no one else is helping code the thing. Most companies would have game fixes out fairly quickly.

Oh good, now I can have a lake full of Country Time Pink Lemonade. That's just super. While they're at it, why don't they make brown water for the rapids ride and call it the Pepsi Challenge. Or how about yellow water so I can make a kiddie pool?

I could finally make that Pepto Bysmal theme park I've always wanted to build!

Well duh, Danimals! We need pink water to make a Willy Wonka themed park. Sheesh! What's wrong with you?!

But seriously, I agree Kick The Sky. If he makes patches, why not something useful. What theme park on earth has pink freaken water?!

Its probably for his Panda Park. ;)

Have they fixed the link yet on the RCT2 official site for the water download yet? when I clicked on the download button it just returned to the homepage instead.

Speaking of new scenery, someone over at ogresnet just released a download for new superhero themeing which includes superman, batman & a few marvel comics characters,I downloaded the file & put it into the object data folder but when I went to test it out it wouldn't show up in the editor.

It shows up in the scenery object selection menu of the editor but when I check my scenery window it it won't appear in the scenery tab in the construction menu at all has anyone else downloaded it & experienced this problem?

and what ever happened to RCT2sdays? it could have been great getting new SF parks and maybe even a flat or two, even some new scenery would be nice. oh well....theres always the expansion packs(now fortified with Pink Water;))

Lol, pink water? I don't get it. I've never used any of the other water colors in the game except for blue. Pink water is just a little too strange for my tastes. ;)

I don't even expect whole new scenarios or rides on the site, but I'm with Kick the Sky; give us something we may actually want to use!

Well, Alton Tower's Nemesis has pink water below it.

Does seem like kind of a silly download...

It would be one thing if you could color different sections of the water, like have a pink lake over here, blue over there, orange or green somewhere else, but u can't so it's usless!

Nemesis has orange water under it. Even if the water was pink under Nemesis, orange water would still work fine if you were making a recreation.

-----------------
If it's tourist season, why can't we shoot 'em?

I personally enjoy the neon green 'acid' water...

-----------------
164 and counting...

Ah, yes. The green 'acid' water. Now that is useful for theming rides. I use it quite often when I'm making coasters with a spooky theme. Very fun to use. But pink? Ugh. I'm sure a lot of time and thought went into changing the code for that one. I guess we could use it for a PKI recreation on that, ahem, 'special day.'

RollerJunkie, very nice! Ha!

Just dont do the brown acid

Heh, sounds like you haven't actually been to Alton Towers. Either that or you're color blind.

The water is supposed to be red to symbolize blood. When I was there, it looked a lot lighter, as if it were pink.

That's what I'm talking about! Brown water so I can make a Shoot the Chutes called the Poop Chute!

Colored water is pretty silly. Like TeknoScorpion said it would be pretty cool if you could use all the colors (especially for water fountains) but were stuck with one at a time!

Maybe next time we'll get blue grass! Now that would be cool! ;)
