New park management ideas

In rct people always complain about the track restrictions, i think that they could expand the management feature. there is soo much more. they should have a chain option, in which yuo run the buisiness and build the parks by yourself, or with some one else online (yes online rct). i think you should have to deal with enthusiasts with special days were they pay you if they can have the park. there should be accidents in where someone loosens out of there restraints. i think there should be fictional media ocmpanies in which you can sign with and youldd get the rights to teir characters. construction time shuld be more realistuic in which yuo sign for a ride and it completes in a year or so (you can still custom build). i can go on and on with more management ideas to maek the game more fun, challenging, realistsic. i think that theyve gotten about 90% of ride designing down, but only scratched the surface with park management. what do you guys think?

Yeah that would be cool. There is a lot of things that RCT needs.
This is one of the coolest Ideas I've heard yet. After they have done all the scenery packs , they can release......

Rct: Management

Make it like Sim City in a way.

Yeah, thats right... I'd always think it'd be a good idea to sign contracts with (fictional) ride/roller coaster companies and it takes a while for the attraction to actually be built. There should definitely be better marketing possibilities, and the chain thing is a really good idea. I think money should be more realistic perhaps, you should be able to decide staff wages and most crucially in my opinion, you should be able to chose park operating dates- so you could have an off-season.

It would definitely be a gamble to release an expansion pack or sequel of this sort because I'm not sure if even I would really like to have to wait e.g. a season to build my rides. However, perhaps they could have an Option to turn 'Management Mode' On and Off? So some scenarios are in the style of RCT2 at the moment, some have Management Mode On and some, for example, Mega Parks, can have Management Mode On AND Off?

Yeah that is a good idea on and off. Maybe we should all sent an e-mail or all of us write a letter to Chris Sawyer and the more people we get then maybe he will think about fixing up Roller Coaster Tycoon.
The track designer definatly needs some work too. The problem is that you are limited to the pieces of track that Chris Sawyer feels like programming into the game. There has to be some way to make new pieces of track that have never been seen yet. Also the loops, corcscrews and other elements only some in one size fits all. There should be an option to change the size of the piece. Also the height and speed are off by a little bit. When you build a coaster that is 300ft. high, it's top speed is over 100 miles an hour.

Another thing that is bad about RCT2 is that all the levels are so huge and you can't buy any land. This is fine for some people but I like to be challenging. My favorite park of all time was Dinky Park in the 1st game. But other than that the game is evolving. I like the scenerio editor the best. That's just my personal opinion though.

Riding on top of the world with Cedar Point

With the track editor I don't have any real major problems-- its overall pretty good- it allows me to create cool coasters... BUT there are a couple of issues:

1) Diagonal track- WHY does this take up two diagonals? I mean, surely a diagonal is longer than one of the square's sides anyway? It basically limits design options and doesn't allow as compact, twisting designs.

2) Inversion Sizes. Medium Loop and a Large Corkscrew needed- these are the two essentials!

3) Corkscrews need to be started with a flat piece of track- I think an upwards banked piece would work better and would be more realistic.

4) Drop angles... there needs to be a drop piece which is steeper than the current steep piece, but isn't vertical...

However, I suppose this is swaying off topic; but I suppose they're all only fantasy ideas... we can only hope! But, still, despite areas where it can be improved, RCT2 remains my favourite game by far!

All i would love to see is, Day and Night and a OFFseason, so you can build rides for the next season. A season pass for guest would be cool to. And a BIG Bilboard sign would be nice for your park slogan.
Does anyone know that www.rollercoastertycoon3.com was brought? Which means RCT3 could be near.

I think that RCT needs day and night, offseason, season passes, POP, Ticket Stands, Pools, Better Advertisement Opitions, sign contacts with cartoon and other stuff.

That'd be fine, but a quick whois check shows that doesn't seem like Atari (Infogrames) owns it :(

Hey, rollercoastertycoon4.com is still available :)

I wish we could have hotels that are profitable, and a non full circut water slide that actuly work! Once I wrote a whole page of things I'd like to see in RCT2, and if only I could find it...

I have to admit that the track pieces are limited, and I wish they had more. BTW: Sorry for the double post, this was an edit.
