New park in Indiana

I was recently in the Indianapolis area and heard a rumor about a new park possibly coming to Brownsburg just west of Indianapolis. I also noticed in a post that someone mentioned Abundant Grace Park coming to Indiana. Are these the same rumor? Has anyone else heard similar rumors?
Waterdog:

The Abudant Grace Park story was from me. I am in the process of getting a Christian Based Theme Park opened in Indiana(but it's going to be a long time coming)

I have also thought of a Racing Theme as well to go along with the Indianapolis Motor Speedway

The Brownsburg rumor is new to me. I did not know of this, where did you hear about that?

There was a Garfield park they was going to build off of I-70 And Indiana 39, but the company went bankrupt and the land was solf off in police auction for more houses

Six Flags owns The Old Indiana Site, but it's nothing more than a "coaster junkyard"

God Bless Theme Parks!
A New Hoosier Theme Park, Abundant Grace Park, is on the horizion!

I have friends that live in Lebenon. I heard it from them. I think both Christian and Racing themes are good ideas, however, I'm not sure the Indianapolis area is the best place for a Christian themed park but it would be the perfect place for a Racing themed park. All of the premier racing sactioning bodies have races in the area. If a Racing themed park will go over anywhere it's Indy.
I'm originally form Goshen!! Hey that's a great idea, Michael. I had also heard about the Garfield park but haven't seen anything except the fat orange cat at Kennywood!!!

Best of luck to you, and when you need models of the new rides let me know!!! :)

In order to be an inverted stand-up, it would almost have to have a floor. I think it's very possible. Just invert a stand-up train and there you go. The only problem I forsee would be tall people being too close to the track overhead. This could be fixed by put more room between the rider and the track. I think that we will see it sometime.
Like it was said by Michael the Garfield Park fell through... (:( Although it would have been cool, you know the great family discounts....yes, family :()

And I've also heard on the news before about Six Flags wanting to build a park between Indy and Bloomington (I Believe) but the state wouldn't allow it or something like that... (I think that's right)

mforcealldaway, I wish they would build a park between Bloomington and Indy.  I live in Bloomington, and I know the perfect spot for a park.  It's called Martinsville.  Bulldoze the whole city and replace it with a park.  That would be just about perfect.
Hey all;

If you want to see all that was done at the Garfields park go to my site at www.negative-g.net and scroll down to the bottom of the page.  There is a link to the Entercitment park there.  All that got done on the park besides empty promises was a little land clearing and some utilities work.  Right after I put the pictures up I got a monster threatening letter from them demanding I take the pictures down.  I said no because they were taken from a public road.  It was sad to see it fail because Indy needs a park.  Maybe SFKK will close down and moive inbetween Indy and Louisville so it's not in the middle of an industrial park!

Have Fun!

Everyone:

Thanks for the good support and ideas.  Reguarding Six Flags, keep in mind Six Flags does not "build" parks only "buys" them.  But I really wish they would, but their problem is "debt" and lots of it from building all of these world class coasters in such a short period of time.

Inverted Stand up, it's been rumored to happen before, and even I saw one site about 1 yr ago that showed animations of what it might do. But, that one actually is possible in my opinion.

Martinsville would be a good place to put a park, IN 37 is traveled alot and the I-69 project should be going down through there(but it's never been told to me when!)

Arrow Guy: Thanks for the offer Ill keep ya bookmarked:)
