New Paramount Parks survey...

I just remembered what Salute Your SHorts was! That was the SUmmer Camp show. I've been trying to remember what the name of that was for like over 2 months now ever since I watched T2 again and saw that redheaded kid with the mullet.

Great show. I miss it.

Rocko was one of the best-done cartoons ever in my opinion. All around, very creative.

I still think the classic Hanna-Barbera characters were a great fit for the parks. Dastardly and Muttley, Yogi, Scooby, Flintstones, Jetsons and on and on. Lots of nice timeless theming with those characters.

Gonch you may have just sold me on Comcast Digital Cable since I'm assuming that's how one aquires the Nicktoons channel? To get Legends of the Hidden Temple, Rocko and Real Monsters back, I would definitely pay a few more bucks a month (although I'd need the DVR too so I can watch them when I actually have time as opposed to when they're actually on ... decisions, decisions).

Is Alex Mack on that station too? I had such a crush on Larissa Oleynik ...

Since this has digressed into 80s kids TV, does anyone remember a show that sometime during the intro had a kid standing there that in this monotone voice said "Pinwheel". Was that the name of a show, or was that another show or am I in the wrong era, or am I just insane? (don't answer that ... )

There was a show I believe called Pinwheel. Not too sure though. It was puppets I believe. Here's the real proof that I am old. I remember Nickelodeon when there were no commercials.

I have to agree that most of the new Nicktoons will not become classics except Spongebob Squarepants. A lot of the viewing audience is in my age range, 30 somethings. Although, Spongebob steals much of its' humor from Ren & Stimpy as do a lot of the cartoons today. And, I am referring to the first three seasons of Ren & Stimpy, not the latter years when they fired the creator of the show.

I so had forgotten about Alex Mack. That was a great show too! And that space show with the 4 teenagers...what was it again?
That show was "Space Cases". It was kind of like Star Trek except for kids.

Anyone remember the Mystery Files of Shelby Woo? I though that show was pretty cool.

There's another survey. Just got an e-mail.

According to it (the e-mail), Spongebob is the most popular charcter so far.

Space Cases wasn't a comedy, was it? I remember one that was less comedy and more like trek.
