New Orleans City Council President Arnie Fielkow, state Sen. Ed Murray and state Rep. The trip will feature visits to Big League Dreams Park and Hawaiian Falls Water Park Complex in Mansfield, Texas, and meetings with the parks' executives

They ought to be visiting Houston so they can see what Astroworld looks like. Give it up already!

Why go there when Blue Bayou and Dixie Landin is doing great business in Baton Rouge or better yet look at Gulf Islands in Gulfport where the waterpark is surrounded by a huge sports complex, where there are countless amounts of regional tournaments for different sports going on?

Bolliger/Mabillard for President in '08 NOT Dinn/Summers

It amazes me how short/narrow-sighted they are about this whole situation. Its ridiculous and a waste of time to pursue the option of an amusement park right now, especially with Six Flags in their current position. The park wasn't all that much of a success when it was open before Katrina, post Katrina it would likely do even worse given that last I was aware, population levels aren't back to around pre-Katrina levels. Fix the problems you have before you go and create more.
