City Park’s amusement park for children reopens on Saturday, March 3, for the first time since Hurricane Katrina flooded New Orleans nearly 18 months ago. Wow as good as this sound I was hoping it was SFNO but that park is ok and has a pretty good kiddie coaster which is actually really fun.
Actually this park basically did reopen for its Celebration in the Oaks festivities around Christmas. Only a few rides were idle including the carousel, tilt-a-whirl, ferris wheel, and tornado. Unfortunately it looks like the antique cars won't be making a comeback for at least a long time. Part of its ride area was replaced by the disko ride.
