"Didn't Roy Acuff have a house on the property where he lived in his latter years? Just a wild guess but maybe that's a pic of his house."
Answer:
Yes he did. The house is still around and it is right beside the Grand Ole Opry house. The house has been renamed to the Acuff House and is used for upper management of the Grand Ole Opry.
The "House" in question in earlier posts is unknown to me, but I will easily find out and re-post so you all know the exact reason the house is there.
My opinions are not of Gaylord Entertainment. However, the reason that GE closed Opryland USA was due to continually decreasing profits raised from the park. My boss was in charge of security in the park before it closed and we have had a lengthy discussion about this. I feel that GE was wrong in their decision to close the park. Even though there are absolutely NO plans whatsoever to rebuild the park. I feel that in the future someone should tear down that piece of junk mall and rebuild the park.
Sincerely,
An Employee of Gaylord Entertainment

I wouldn't imagine that's gonna happen anytime soon. I work for a major metal building company in the South and we just designed and fabricated a HUGE building for the Oprymills Mall. According to the plans, it's supposed to be built in or around the parking area somewhere. Possibly on a hillside somwhere. The finished floor elevations varied greatly all over the building.
Pardon our dust...Signature is building for your future enjoyment!
