New indoor water park opening in the Poconos

The Poconos' newest water park, Split Rock Resort's H2Oooohh, is on target to open in the early fall. And when it comes online, it will be met by new accommodations. The $19 million, 53,000-square-foot indoor water park is expected to be completed sometime after Sept. 1. It will be open to the public as well as hotel guests.

Doesn't sound as nice at Great Wolf...and open to the public? That just means more crowds and less enjoyable to resort guests....

I really like Great Wolf though, hope this doesn't hurt them.

Now if we could get an indoor amusement park around here....

I'm wondering whether they'll offer a season pass similar to belonging to a pool for the summer. Or maybe offering something in conjunction with other resorts. I'm pretty sure the owners of Split Rock own Big Boulder Ski Area, and there may be others.

I can't see a single visit admission plan working. I think it would tick off the people staying at the resort and would be more work than profit for the owners.
