New Holiday World Official Website Coming?

I heard somewhere that Holiday World is going to get a new official website. Is this true? They really need one, does anyone know anything about it? Like when it's going to come public or what new features it'll contain.. Thanks.
What functions does an amusement park webpage need to have? It's got travel info, prices, a map, a webcam...what else do you need? Everything the new Six Flags page has.

Yeah, it has the typical features but needs more webcams, new design, stuff like that...
I think we're spoiled. The only two park sites I can think of that have webcams are Cedar Point and Holiday World. Anyone else think of any?

I guess since these other guys thought it was needed to treat you like some kind of jerk and not give you an actual answer...... I will.

Yes, Holiday World IS getting a new website. Paula mentioned it in a thread a while back.

Ummm, I don't see anyone treating him like a jerk...

Whatever floats your boat.

I give you that maybe jerk was a little harsh. But your post doesn't answer his question and only makes it out to be like you feel it doesn't matter if HW is getting a new Web Site. That serves no purpose........ Just answer his damn question or stay out of it. That's all I'm really saying.

Yes...we will have a new website online soon. I'll be sure to post a notice when it's up. It will have a few new features, but mostly a new design.

Thanks, Paula

I was going to say when I first saw this thread...

The HW site seems to contain all of the information, features, and other assortments of data that I would want to see in a park's official website. I don't thin that is any sort of issue that needs to be addressed.

Who's to say a site can't be updated just to include a new design? As long as it doesn't make navigation even more difficult and pages more cramped (read: another major chain's website), I say go for it! I'm excited to see what the park has in store.

Thanks, James. Yes, we're trying to simplify navigation a bit and add even more info (such as what food is available where in the park). But for the most part, we just wanted a new look.

Are you hiring somebody or doing it yourself?

We've hired a designer and are working closely with him.

Will there be any puns?

I usually sneak a few into our contruction diary...but there probably won't be any in the main text. Sorry to say, some folks just don't "get" puns...and then I get all sorts of emails from confused people.

Sigh! Paula

I guess I needed a smiley in my post? I really wasn't serious, but thanks for addressing my question seriously anyway.

Not to change topic but how's Hallowswings construction coming?

Moosh ;)

Not to sound like a wishlist, but will there be any more photos of the rides? Thanks. :)

Is there an exact date for the design to go public, just for I don't have to kill myself with the mystery. I think the website is already great, a new design is a great move and I'm very glad to see you gies are doing this.
Just wanted to note that I am planning a trip to Holiday World (among other parks), and I spent a lot of time at each of the park's websites planning.

I found Holiday World to have the most organized and useful site out of all of them. All the info for the park is easy to find, and saves me the bother of searching every page for answers to simple questions.

So, thanks for that Paula, and I'll be there in less than 2 months!
