^ I don't know about this game. It has more of a 'thrillville' sense to it. It actually looks pretty crappy, actually pretty is not the word, extreamly. Why would someone want to hurt the park guests? It also gives some bad rep at amusement parks.
The same saddistic people who pull wings off of flys and shave cats.

It's a downloadable game for PS3. You strap into a large slingshot and aim your body at targets in each board.

It's fun for about 10 minutes.

This is just an add on board.

Thinking that this will give parks a bad rap is silly.

From what I could tell (and I know nothing about PS3) it looks like a sequel (add on) to an equally destructive game where the player gets to wreak havoc on cities. The amusement park lends itself well, having large crowds, animated figures and lots of machinery to destroy.

There's an audience for this, I'm sure. Just not me.

Jive explanined it pretty well (well, I dont know about he 10min thing as I dont have a PS3). OTOH, I have heard tell of an upcoming Six Flags game (Six Flags Fun Park) that has potential. One of the guys on 1up.com (Shane B) mentioned it glancingly in a podcast and said to keep an eye out for it.

However, this is much more a mini-game collection and much less a total park sim (ala RCT).

That Six Flags Fun Park game, 2Hostyl, is another shovelware garbage game trying to cash in on the Wii's success. It's just yet one of those "mini-game" collections along the lines of 'Carnival Games'.

None of those will ever be fun, unless they offer true 1-to-1 Wiimote experiences (which is rare for a 3rd party game).

The game noted above, however, is NOT an amusement park game. Those with a PS3 (or those who have friends who have a PS3), know what game this is... it's PAIN!!! You basically take a giant slingshot to your character, and launch them into people, objects, and other things trying to inflict as much pain as possible.

Pain is one of the most fun games out there. It got a little repetitive because it only featured the downtown-city location, but it was hell-a fun with others when playing 'HORSE', as you can launch into 100's of objects making great chain-reactions.

The Amusement Park addition has been in the works for awhile, and I can't wait for it to be released.

This game is not similar to Thrillville or any amusement-park game... the only relation is the setting its in.
