New for Cedar Point 2006!!

Has anyone heard anything about what Cedarpoint may do for 2006?? I know its a long time away but I'm curious.

Im curious too, but.... If anyone knew, we'd all know, so just sit tight.

My brother's friend just got hired to work in a food cart. I'm not sure which one; he's hoping for something cold so that he gets lots of business during the summer--like one of those frozen lemonade stands. Anyway, he heard during his interview that they were planning on building something really big for Kinzel's retirement!

Here we go again... Kinzel's "Big Bang" for retiring. I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm getting quite used to seeing these threads ripped apart now.

If you read my post, I believe I said i was curious.

I don't think that Cedar Point can add anything in 2006 since they're out of room.

There's always the chance that they'll taer down Magnum, though, since it's sinking anyway. Then they'd have room for the dueling launched 4-D's.

Does anybody see a pattern here? The next world record breaker will come in 2007. In 2006, I would expect some kind of a holdoff coaster.

Didn't Jeff just cover this whole "Cedar Point is out of room" thing as late as last week?! Knock it off people! And Magnum isn't going anywhere either!

Here's the pattern:

• Dick Kinzel knows he is retiring
• He likes building record-breaking rides
• He will build one more the year he retires.

I feel the same way about this....in before close....

I could see a giant ride based on rock em' sock em' robots. You sit in little cars and people on the ground control your car. They're secretly building one in Germany as a prototype. So far there's only been one death. ;)

But then on Pointbuzz Jeff told us he talked to Mr. Lemonchill and Lemon revealed the new plans. CF is building a 1200 ft., 100 mile transport ride to connect CP and GL. This new ride entitled "Atom Smasher" will be launched with nuclear power. The only concern is fallout but CP is hiring some of Davis-Bessie's engineers that got fired to work on their system. CP says they are of top quality workers and it wasn't their fault there was almost a meltdown that would have contaminated half of Lake Erie.

Hopefully ARN&R will be able to confirm this news. Screamscape has already broken this news. ;)

geez, I was worried we wouldnt see one of these threads this week! WHEW!! :)

They are going to be adding a lemon chill stand and a brand new wooden bench to go with it.
