new for busch gardens

I know theres a new ride at busch gardens williamsburg, and that its 3-D but is it a 3-D ride and not just a moving platform or is it like the one they already have...or did they just change the theme and the movie on the one they already have.

They just changed the name & theme on the movie they already have. It's actually a 4-D theater, and it's not really technically a ride. Instead of the Pirates Island (I think that's the one they had, right? The same one that's used at Worlds of Adventure), they replaced it with the Haunted Lighthouse, so it's going to have the same effects and such... but just a new movie. Nothing wrong with that!
You cannot forget that Busch Gardens Tampa has it operating now, (Employee night Thursday) Sea world Texas and California are getting it as well. So this 4-D movie attraction will be seen in the major areas Busch has, the only reason why it is not at Sea World Orlando is due to it is near Busch Gardens Tampa and they spent cash at BGT to build/modify the theater for this. It was originally and still is the Timbuktu Theater but before it was open air and had the dolphins in it and not it is closed with the 4-D movie.

In the pirate movie they only blasted water and vibrated the seats. The new one with have more effects.
Watch for something small and furry to tickle you, (Already done in most newer 4-D movies.) Watch for waves to come, their is so much in this, I cannot wait to see this and have me trip report for my site ready.

They did that in Sea World here in California (apparently, Sea World and Busch are owned by the same company). Does anyone else think that these "4d" (I hate that term) movies are getting old?

I agree. I was extremly dissapointed when come to find out the best thing BGs has for 2003 is a movie. I want a new roller coaster damn it!

Does anyone know when they are supposed to put in a new coaster? The last coaster was put up 4 years ago in 99. I think BG can do better than Apollo's Cariot. It's not like all of their space is filled up or anything. I hope they will put in something good soon. i'll keep my fingers crossed.

They probably could beat Apollo but does any one know what type of height restrictions they have??? I'm newer to the area so I don't know yet.

Thanks in advance for any info!

yeah I kinda thought they just changed the theme. But I wish they would build a new rollercoaster cause busch gardens is only like a 4 hour drive from where I live and I go up there pretty often...I'm going up there next weekend so I'll tell you how the new 4-D movie is...I'm just tryin to gear up for my trip to CP. God I cant wait!!!!

It's coming...

By height restrictions I think Goku meant how tall the rides can be built to - however I could be wrong
Oh, well if anybdoy needs them there here. ^_^ Anyway I dont think there are any height restictions. There isnt any airports around or anything, but if there is one im sure it would be pretty high.
