We've added a new forum where you can upload photos from your day atthe park. And like trip reports, you can associate your photos with park records in our amusement park database. You can add captions, sortthe photos and others will be able to comment on your pictures. Visit the Day in Pictures forum to see what it's all about, or view the video tutorial that shows how it works.
Wespent some time thinking about how best to add support for pictures inthe forum that didn't involve a big mess of random uploads that took forever to load. This approach is a cross between a regular forum topic and what you might find on Facebook or a Flickr album. We look forward to seeing what you've got!
If you have high quality photos that you'd like to share as part of a specific roller coaster's photo gallery, continue to use the "contribute coaster photo" link along the right-side navigation, or follow the link from that coaster's page inthe database.

Oops. That was weird. Link fixed! Thanks for catching that.

Yes, from the gallery of images, the pictures with new comments have a maroon border around them.

Just wanted to follow up on something here...
I'd like to see the Day in Pictures forum be a solid account of your day, like a trip report. We want to see you taking photos with your kids, friends or straddling the Carolinas border or whatever. Ride photos are fine too, but show some personality!
If you have photos of rides, please contribute them via the contribute photos link along the right side of the pages. Remember that those can be as big as 900x900 pixels! I'm working on a little piece of code to resize them, in case they're bigger and you don't have the tools to resize.

Why do I have the nagging feeling that one is directed to me.. :)

Btw.. Am I missing something or is there no way to add more photos at a later date to your existing DIP?

Right now, no, you get one upload shot. Perhaps a later iteration will allow you to add/edit.

Well, that could lead to some weirdness because there's no limit to the caption size.
