Last night, at a public meeting between SFNE and the Board of Appeals, the new B&M creation was approved. The area this coaster will be installed in has been marked off with a fence in the parking lot. Although, it is still not clear if it is a stand-up or floorless, most sources are stating it is a floorless.

You know what's funny AND disappointing? RCDB.com lists Batman:The Ride with a track length of 2,700 FT. This SFNE B&M will be as long as a Batman clone, which to many of you is quite short. And this is a looper too (not including the B&M inverteds). B&M's current longest looping coaster is SFMM's The Riddler's Revenge at 4,370 FT of trackage.
I think it is going to be an inverted B&M.
Why would it be an invert when they have a Vekoma invert.
That layout is a fake. Someone took their sweet old time to make something up that looks like professional plans, but I am 99% sure that those plans are a fake. The ride is supposed to be longer and better than what is shown.

Hey Coaster131 what is your rationale behind qestioning the plans? some of the drawings do look a little sketchy and it would be excellent if it were longer.
"Although, it is still not clear if it is a stand-up or floorless, most sources are stating it is a floorless." How can this ride be a floorless? It could also be a sit-down, too.
Another reason that this coaster might be a stand-up is that Six Flags America was going to get a stand-up for the 2001 season, but since the deal with Vekoma and Paramount failed, SFA went with a flying dutchman. The stand-up coaster was rumored to go to Six Flags New England.
My opinion, I think this coaster will either be a sit-down or stand-up.
Note - If it's a flooless, then why would the drop be 120 feet? All of the floorless coasters in the US are more then 140 feet.

There's a first time for everthing, StealthmF5m ;-) . A sit-down is a small chance. Why would Six Flags go for a standard sit-down when they an beef it up with Floorless trains? I am hoping this is a floorless, to make the ride interesting, and if not that, a Stand-Up, jsut my two cents.
Hey Nitro230ft there was no decapitation involving Kraken. It's safety record is very well intact. I don't know where you heard that story but it's false. I live in Florida and know it's not true. By the way Kraken is a great floorless coaster. I wish you guys good luck and good riding when you get your floorless at SFNE. =)
120 ft is way too small for a B&M sitdown standing looper/ but I do remember now Geogia Scorcher is around this hight so I anm thinking stand up.

God Bless America....
B&M has proven that size doesn't matter. When the specs came out for Dorneypark's Talon, there was disappoinment because it seemed small. Talon has proved to be in the same class as some of the best iverts around including Raptor and Alpengiest. Don't sell this one short quite yet, you might be surprised.
Just 2 let u guys no, I heard a rumor somewhere that Six Flags America will be getting that stand-up that they didn't get last year. I saw it on a list that said 4 b&m's are going to 4 parks 4 2002. 1 was defineatly sfne and another was Six flags america.
Hey 120' isn't all that bad. look at it this way they are at least getting a coaster(and a B&M at that). So I think that it will be an awsome ride. I have riden Talon and that has proved to me that a coaster doesn't have to be big and tall to be an awsome ride. Talon isn't all that long either and neither is this so. Hopefully it is a floorless.

Stealthmf5m3: If there is a tunnel at the end of the drop then that makes it about 140 ft. That is the height of B&M Floorlesses.
I think it will be a stand-up or floorless. The GAScorcher is only 110ft so the height and length seems to me a lot like it may be similar to the heights and lengths of most stand-ups and inverts.

Don't forget that Iron Wolf and the Vortexes, B&M's first stand-ups, were all around 100 feet tall. I think a stand up would be cool at SFNE. I dig standing up, especially in the front row. It feels so wild and open.

Coaster131, the plans on my site are not fake! They were sent to me by a very reliable source who has given me good credible information several times in the past. Notice that the fence is set up in the same place that the plans show? It is, trust me. Next time you're going to start making wild accusations, you might want to do your research first.

When I was at sfgadv in June, there were ride ops there that were training on Medusa. I looked at their shirt pins and they said sfne. I asked shannon (ride op) whats up? She said sfne was getting a floorless, and they were training on loading/unloading, and operating the controls. You never know though...

*My Personal Top 10*
1)-Nitro, 2)-S:ROS(sfne), 3)-Kraken, 4)-Alpengeist, 5)-Incredible Hulk
Isnt it "possible" that this could also be a new B&M "AIR" flying coaster???? Just a notion.

Hey coaster peepz. Just checkin on the coaster newz.Well I say, tall, short, floorless, standing, sitting, inverted, BRING IT ON! It is about darn time the East coast goes big with a new roller coaster. It seems that all the roller coasters that are being build today are the same but with diffrent names. Just my opinion. And for all those people out there that think this roller coaster is small, DON'T RIDE IT. Simple as that. Just be thankful roller coasters aren't like the little dragon ride that goes around in circles like at the carnival! :) Peace out ya'll coastah ridahz
I definitely agree.
I/ll be there as soon as possible to ride it, whatever it is, at the earliest chance possible.
No matter what, I know it will be good
