New email about Tomb Raider: The Ride

I just got another letter about Tomb Raider in my email account. There isnt really anything interesting except for one paragraph.

"It is always exciting working to create an attraction that will entertain and thrill our guests. Tomb Raider certainly has the entertainment and thrill aspects, but also the element of surprise. There are four major classifications of the characteristics of an amusement ride. They include the ability to: thrill - like roller coasters and free-fall rides; entertain - like dark rides, train rides, attraction pre-shows; disorient - like the scrambler or the monster; and get wet - like flume rides or river rapid rides; or combinations of all of these. TOMB RAIDER: The Ride has all four!"

Sounds different :)

I've gotten that thing twice now but I didn't open it until I saw this. I knew that name looked familiar.

"Oh crap, I'm not riding Raptor anymore because there's one just like it in Japan. Cedar Point sucks now."
-Jeff
I also got this. One thing I also found interesting was they say is, "This remarkable attraction was fully designed "in-house" by Paramount Parks Design and Entertainment Team ". Very interesting. Maybe it isn't going to be Top Spin? Even though the description sounds like it.

A ride the drops you, then spins you until you are disoriented, then gets you wet?  Sounds like a fancy torture device.  Should be fun :)
Sounds like a Top Spin with the fountains.

Hmm, completely designed in-house 25 minutes from my house and 5 minutes from Carowinds. I need to head down there and see if they can give me a 'tour' :P

It's his turn to feast, when you ride the Son of Beast.
Jesus sweet son of Mary people!  It's already been posted on ScreamScape that it is a Huss Giant TopSpin.  There's even BLUEPRINTS POSTED!  Stop wondering what it will be because we all know what it is already!

Excuse me...I need to go shoot someone now.

If you see me running, try and keep up!

StarCoasters its not 5 mins. from Carowinds, and you live in Belmont, so its not 25mins. from your house either.

Favorite Steel: Top Gun: the Jet Coaster
Favorite Wood:Hershey Park Wildcat.
but if they were for real about it being all in house, it can't exactly be a HUSS topspin, right?  hmmm....
Well, from what I have been told, it is NOT a HUSS Top Spin, but a modified ride by PKI similar to it. I have also been told that PKI will also be later announcing another ride for the 2002 season. I think we will just have to wait and find out. Also, there will be a brand new site that will be a great resource for TR:TR and PKI opening around New Years. Be sure to check it out.

Who thinks TR:TR won't be a HUSS Top Spin
