New Dragster Pics

Cedar Point has posted some more pictures of Dragster. Trains are running with four cars, and it shows a picture of a train coming down the second half.

Is it me or do I not see a seatbelt in the seats?

if they need a seat belt...then they will have one...but now there isn't one. I wonder what that could mean?

AIRTIME! well i dunno......but when I watched the video it hung at the top for like 3 seconds which is gonna a huge rush!
Where can I see the video of it testing?
I'm sure that there will be seatbelts, I think any coaster is required to have some sort of strap(but not neccesarily a seatbelt one)
What video?

Yes, there will be seat belts. But so does MF!

4 days...

Colincsl, not all rides need seat belts, or straps. Off the top of my head, I know that the Arrow loopers at SFGAm had/have just shoulder harnesses, while both woodies and Raging Bull get by with just a lap-bar.

However, as it's CP, I'd expect Dragster to have (unecessary?) seat belts.

Ahhh!! The train is tiny in this picture!! http://www.topthrilldragster.com/_upload/images/ride03_pics/constpics/Construction172.jpg

For those thinking about posting the video, this is just a friendly reminder/fyi: Jeff commented earlier that he'd boot anyone who posted it. Just lettin' ya'll know. ;)

If at first don't succeed, find out if the loser gets anything.

Perhaps in other parks seatbelts are optional for rides, but at CP they are a must...gotta keep the lawyers happy.

I'm somehow not looking forward to standing in the queue line... especially if you're wayyyyyyy way way way far back and that thing is filled to capacity! I'm betting 1000 to 1 that it'll be filled beyond max for most of the day... but damn, that's going to be one boring queue line!

Yes, it'll be fun to watch Dragster the first... ohhh... 50 times... but after that, I just wanna ride it!

speaking of the queue line picture... this is taken at a really odd angle... check the pullout of the drop... (here) ... OUCH! if it really was like that :) ( yes i know its just the angle playin tricks w/ my eyes

I'm pretty sure she'll have seat belts... just as Xcelerator does...maybe un- needed.. but the extra precausion is always nice !

Xcelerator has seatbelts... why wouldn't TTD?

------------------
Hi. Bye.

Look you cant just install seat belts at the park they have to be on the ride when it comes out (it is welded at one point to the ride you know) and if you look at those wonderful seats I see just a lapbar. Besides this baby opens in less then a week, unless it is a quick "snap" job (which by the way would completly make the belt useless) then there wont be any belts on this coaster. Right now I swear I see absolutly no evidence of a seat belt on any picture.

I hate to relate every last Dragster thing to Xcelerator, but the seat belts were one of the last things added to the ride. In fact, part of the delay for getting the ride open was because they didn't have seatbelts ready for the ride.

So I figure its just a matter of time for TTD.

Seatbelts have been retrofitted on MANY rides (including this year, Kennywood's Wipeout!), so they don't have to be factory equipment. If they're not currently on Dragster's trains, they will be, and I'll even bet the mounting points are already pre-drilled.
