Hersheypark sued ride manufacturer Interactive Rides for breach of contract in the cancellation of the Frequent Faller attraction originally slated to open this spring. Interactive Rides portrays the situation as being caused by Hersheypark's delays and failure to provide important information, along with a skyrocketing cost of steel. Hersheypark stands by its view, that Interactive Rides was unable or unwilling to perform.

Hershey is the last company I would expect to be going through something like this. It's almost like it tarnishes their squeaky clean image. There was however a good benefit to the ride cancellation for me, and that is that it's one less park that I feel "obligated" to visit this summer.
With or without that cancelled ride, Hersheypark is one of the best parks around IMO, and this wouldn't make me change my mind on my planned 3-day trip to Hershey and the surrounding area this coming summer.
