new "dive loop"- better?

This is a good question. Is the new dive loop better or not?

I can't really say. Don't most coasters go through that element with the curve first? Therefore, wouldn't it be more inaccurate if you did it this way? There is no vertical track on the curve, correct?

I like how it looks "different", but we need is a large half corkscrew. Otherwise, I think the old way looks better.

I lost my hat on Poison Ivy. How pathetic.

I hate the way that looks! Personally, I think just bulding it the way most people did before looks more realistic. BUt anyways, I think we do need to see a large corkscrew element.

Judging by the screen shot it isn't realistic but is more realistic than the "old" way of building them. You know, inclined track to straight to half corkscrew to large half loop

Personally I agree a large half corkscrew would have been an easy ride improvement to add to the game and look more realistic

I think that the one shown in the Screen Shot is just a starting point. I think Chris sawyer and his team are continuously up grading small features. If you look at the original screen shots you can tell that they are doing this. But if not i'll continues building them the old way the new one stinks.

i think the new one looks fine. i just wished they tweaked that zero g roll to look a little more realistic, that will forever bother me. i like what i see so far.
Well I don't think that either way is realistic at all since it results in a direction change of 90 degrees, while in reality a dive loop only results in a direction change of less than 45 degrees. Further, I don't see why CS doesn't just put dive loops and immelmans in as premade inversions if he can't get the pieces to work out right.

I think the game is 100% done now. It just needs to reach Gold. I doubt we'll see anything else new, but I'm not a gaming genius, so I might be wrong. Right now the game is prolly trying to get debugged and stuff like that.

I like the new dive loops in RCT2. It's better than having a straight piece before corkscrewing into the inversion.

But I'm most looking forward to building the Intamin coasters.

In what screen shot do you see a zero-g roll? or are you talking about an inline twist?

I know he is a godly game programmer, but he is not Christ ;)

And he doesn't really have a team, he does all the stuff himself, which is why his games have so much charm.

man, you saw the original screen shots did you see how horrible some things looked and now how things are gradually improving. Well it is quite at gold yet but they still have to change some stuff.

The new dive loop is so ugly ... ugh. I will continue to make them the old fashion way.

Straight, upward, steep upward, steep upward, level, straight, half corkscrew, half giant loop.

Sigh.

SFNE DUDE, yeah im talking about the inline twists that create the zero g roll. i just want a prefab zerg roll. it would look awesome, i just dont know why they settled for that design.
