New DDR?

It's out already, I saw it at a few arcades in New Jersey this past weekend.

It's out but it's not exactly widespread yet.

Cedar Point is currently the only place in Ohio that has it, with GameWorks in Columbus getting one next week.

I have heard bad things about it - that a lot of songs are off-sync, that many of the new stepcharts are easy and uninspired, etc.

Also, looking at the song list, they've eliminated many, many songs from Extreme that I like, yet left in many of them that no one ever plays (My Summer Love Tommy's Smile Mix? Crash? Both Cutie Chasers? What were they thinking?!?).

They also did NOT bring back ANY songs from old mixes that weren't on Extreme. I can think of about 100 songs I'd like to play on a new machine (Flash in the Night? Theme from Enter the Dragon? Lupin' the 3rd?).

So, while I'm looking forward to playing it, I'm not expecting to be happy about it.

My wife played it over this past weekend and wasn't impressed. But I think the problem with her is that she's afraid to try out new songs, and there were hardly any songs on the the machine that she recognized.

As for me? I haven't played DDR very much like I used to, I could use the game play to get into better shape. I'm not as much into it anymore.
