New Cypress Gardens boss sees park as alternative to Orlando resorts

The new pending Cypress Gardens boss, Kent Buescher of Wild Adventures, sees Cypress Gardens as and alternative to the Orlando resorts. He says that lower prices and shorter lines might be the park's greatest attraction.

"I think it needs to be reinvented for a younger, more active generation." That pretty much sums it up. He made it very clear he doesn't plan to compete with Disney/Universal, that CG would have it's own crowd. Plus, if it is such a problem down there with tradition, what a perfect chance to make a compromise on the coasters. Build some extreme steel, but also consider an old-fashioned woody, or hey, maybe even a side-friction that everyone can enjoy, both riding, or admiring. Why does Leap The Dips have to be all alone?

Whatever he builds, it will suitable for families and thrillseekers as well.
