CP launched their new website today with a new blog about the classic Gemini, a new look to the CP site, and a fun, new webcam. Enjoy!:)

Heh. Its down.
Why re-launch the website after the park opens for the season? Seems like this should have been part of a larger marketing push for the new season.

Probably because most soccer moms aren't going to care.

I like it. I especially like all the details with each rides page (although maybe it was already like that).
What kind of disturbing is the drop in ridership. Most rides they put the ridership from 1996 to present and almost across the board rideship is dropping every year (close to 50% for many of the rides).

Wicked Twister with 1 train beats Maverick in attendance. Ha, ha.
So, is Kinzel going to take out Maverick, or Disaster Transport as they have around the same attendance? Ha, ha. Is he going to change his mind about Top Thrill Dragster being the biggest mistake, and saying Maverick is instead at 21 million. *** Edited 6/18/2008 12:25:33 AM UTC by Spinout***

If there are more rides in the park there shoudl be an across the boards drop in ridership. Seems pretty simple to me.
And how great is it that the picture on the front page is of Knott's.
This is becoming rather Six Flaggish. *** Edited 6/18/2008 12:20:46 AM UTC by MagnumsRevenge***

You mean that fuzzy way-out-of-focus collection of random track in the dim background of the kid on her dad's shoulders?
Yeah, that's really awful that that isn't CP's random track. ;)
As for "at the start of the season": a lot of Michigan schools just got out last week/this week. This is the start of the season for most families.

Sure it's not a big deal but the Johnstown flood started with a trickle.

I'm not entirely sure what point you're making here, but regardless, the Johnstown flood started with 10" of rain that caused the dam to suddenly collapse. I'd hardly call that a trickle.

If you go to reservations and click a random date and look at all availibility you can see pics of the new Sandcastle Suites rooms and the Grand Vista Suites. They both look really nice!

Wow, Top Thrill Dragster only had 500,000 some riders its debut year, but it doubled that last year with over a million.

Why in the hell did they get rid of the flash animation of the park. That was one of the coolest things on the site.

^^ That's largely because TTD was down it's opening year for a month or so AND it was regularly down during the days it did operate.

Anybody notice on the page with Kinzel, it mentions GIlroy Gardens but they have removed all reference to Star Trek: TE....

You're right it does, showing that that photo was from well before 2002, as there is no Wicked Twister, Troika, or maXair.
