*NEW COASTER GAME!* - CoasterBuzz

Warning, Warning...Please glue yourself to the seat before proceeding!

Glued? Good! Ok...I was watching TechTV today, and that Dash dude was at E3...and he was talking to someone from the Disney Game Developing, and the are creating a ROLLER COASTER GAME! Its not a Park game, but you just simply create a coaster. Now, its not just that!

Its actually in 3D, like a 3D Modeler. You can do a front seat view. You can trigger things to happen once the train hits that part of the track, like fire or smoke. It looks like a good game, and there was not release date announce. All I know, everyone will want to get their grubby hands on one, of course, after I do!

I just saw an ad for that in July's PC Gamer. I went to the website, it has nothing on it yet.

At the coaster con disney had a booth set up to promote some game. I didn't look that good but it did look a little cartoony.

Maybe it will be cool. But those 3-d coaster games , nothing passes RCT up .

Disney already had "Coaster" out a while back. If this game is anything like its previous version, don't waste your time. RCT blows it out of the water, including its coaster capabilities.

The game will not (well, better not) be anything like Coaster. If they do that, it will be suicide.

B&Mfan, I can't belive you are comparing 2 games from different eras. Would go go and compare Doom to Unreal Tournament or Quake III? That is what you are doing.

yes i agree w u b and m fan. the coaster game disney put out a while back was flat out awful. rct puts it to shame. i dont really like the idea of disney games,, u know that it will b cartoon-like in some way. just doesnt thrill me,i like real life games like rct.

I had that game coaster. It was ok. But rct is a lot better.

DorneyDante, your just as bad as B&Mfan! You should not compare games from different eras! Maybe I should add different genres too. Coaster is a simulator, RCT is a real-time strategy game. Stop comparing these 2 games.
BTW, coaster is a great game. Think of when it is from, the early 90s, when 3D graphics were almost never used.

its disney, so dont get too exited. ill bet they are aiming for 8 and 9 year olds, so im sure it will be pretty unrealistic. me personally....im waiting for NO LIMITS.

I downloaded the demo, and thought it was HORRIBLE. The trains are unrealistic as well as the track, the track looks almost exactly like the original Coaster's, the sounds get annoying after 3 seconds, and the physics are way off (60mph from a 30 foot drop). Don't waste your time.

but you have to have dirext x 8, which is a long download for 56k peeps.

i played the demo, and it was a good game, but the physics seriously need a fixing. when your going "100mph" it looks like your going about 13mph, which is slow. but the corks were smooth and so were the zero g rolls. i will buy the game. only because you have the option of freeform design. very unrealistic, but fun.

I know nothing will beat RCT, besides RCT2, just look at my name! ^-^ It looked cool on TV, so we'll just have to wait till the real thing is released.

Demo notes:
1. they ripped off the lift sound from rct.
2. the track sound needs improvement.
3. the trains need serious improvement.
4. there should be more detail on for the track.
5. the special effects were cool.
6. the game ran smoothly on my p3 system.
