New coaster for wheeling WV

Dont know if ive seen anything on cbuzz about this, if there has been talk Ill delete this post.

article

Army Rangers lead the way
The article mentions that Phase I will be opening in 2007, the reader is led to believe this coaster will be part of it-- although there is a bit of doublespeak going on. How can there be a nearly finalized coaster design when they have only done preliminary soil testing? Just being a little skeptical here.
Nice find! From what can be seen it looks a lot like Abismo at Parque de Atracciones de Madrid. Seeing as I am not getting to Spain anytime soon, I would be thrilled to have this so close to me.

It's nice to at least see them talking about a design that is a step up from the Sky Wheel/X Coaster
Im interested in whether or not different size seats will affect loading times. May or may not be a smart decision to gamble with patron patience just to make the ride more accessible.
So, this means that the park will be built? I know it sounds like a dumb question, however, I thought the legitimacy of the park being built was in question.
Yeah it looks like magic Springs X Coaster. So does this mean that my hillbilly state will get one of these coasters soon because Arkansas got one and West Virgina got one Louisiana next.

From the concept art, I dont see that coaster in there.

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

That's why they call it concept art :)

Close, not exactly the same..."artist rendering" perhaps?

I truly hope this is built because the one at Magic Springs was freaky/scary and incredibly fun.

So is the park for Nebraska dead in the water now?
From what I have seen Swoosh yes it is. I wish it wasn't but I believe it is. Minard didn't raise enough of the money ahead of time and Nebraska wouldn't extend his deadline.

The concept art at the bottom of the page shows at least two- possibly three- coasters. I see a wooden one, a looping one over the lake and a brown-ish mess to the northwest of the looper that could be something along the lines of a Wild Mouse.

ROFL...

"Port Nebraska and Papa's Park" are featured prominently. Then when you click on the *teaser*, it says plainly, "something is growing in Nebraska". The website might need to be revisited to reflect the change in venue...

"Mobile theme park coming to a state near you"? ;)

"Something is Growing in Nebraska"... sounds like a good name for a "barnyard" porn movie ;)
The X-Coaster (Sky Wheel) at Skyline Park was kind of freaky, so I'd love to see this happen not far from me.

Abismo was a great coaster - rode it this past October
