New Coaster at IOA

What do you think IOA's next coaster will be? And where do you think it'll be placed and with what theme?
A woodie in Jurassic Park.

I think most likely it will be in Jurassic Park. Now if its a coaster is anyones guess. Ive heard many different rumors like a B&M Vertical coaster like Oblivion, a jeep ride, a helicopter ride, a woodie, a ride on par with Spidey but all they are are rumors. So who knows.
I would love to see IOA get a coaster in Jurassic Park, but last time I was there an employee told me they "haven't broken ground yet" when I asked about it. I'm ready for a new ride at IOA though because I'm there all the time.
If it's in Jurassic Park then I'd suspect it to be a humungous coaster, as in a dinosaur. If this is true, I wouldn't be see surprised if we see the next giga there.
They need something new and something BIG. Besides two very small additions in '00, I don't believe anything else has been built since opening. They don't need any as far as attendance goes, but it would be nice and certainly raise that mark. And if any of you didn't know, soon Poseidin's Fury will soon be no more. Get there if you haven't seen it yet. It's a pretty nice show. I think everything is supposed to change.

I couldnt see them putting a giga in the Jurassic Park area especially with the school being right behind that area. They built a wall right behind Dueling Dragons im guessing to help with a little noise control for the area right behind Lost Continent. To me a woodie would be a more logical guess.
With the 200 ft ceiling, giga? I doubt.
We know wont be inverted or launched. Wild Mouse or Flying? With Pterodon Flyers? No. Water Coaster and Boat ride? No. Dark Ride vs WDW Dinosaur? Nope. Men in Black type JP Dark ride? Maybe. Even a Woodie Makes sense. How 'bout a Soarin' over Cali clone themed on JP! The possiblilites would be endless!

If Lifes a Rollercoaster, I want a Flawless
A jeep ride? Naw, Disney already has that at AK, and now BGT also has it with Rhino Rally. We don't need another jeep ride, they're ok to do once.

Coasters give the most re-ride potential.
Movie rides just don't do it, you ride them once, and that's it. I went on MIB a month ago, I'm not rushing back to ride it. Do you hear people talking about MIB saying, "Wow, that was great!" No, it just spins you around as you shoot a laser gun at targets, big whoop.

I'll vote with others and say we want a big coaster, that's fast, because speed rules. I noticed that my favorite rides all go 80-100mph.
I'm thinking B&M speed coaster.

Don't touch the watch.
IoA will not get a coaster. They will built a new darkride in Jurassic Park. Jurassic Jeep 3D. This attraction will have a the same technology as the Spiderman.
Its possible, but how can you be so sure?
HEL-LO! A $200 Million a pop me thinks not. Mind you theres a curve or something Im missing here ... JP Jeep 3D? Why have two 3D Dark Rides?

I really don't think a B&M flying coaster is out of the question. It's high tech, state of the art, and could fit perfectly into IOA.

Wishful thinking;)

I'd Rather Be Riding Rollercoasters
I wrote IOA and BGT an e-mail asking them to build an Intamin Giga coaster, or something big.
I told them the simulator rides just don't do it for me. Sure, they're cool, but for 200 million, they could build two giga coasters.
Do the same thing everyone, go on the park web sites and send e-mails. I don't care if we have to wait 2 years.

Click on the Contact Us button and type away.

For IOA it's a little bit tricky. Pull up the Faq page, then click on the 'No' My question was not answered and it will give you a feedback window.

And if you're around the park execs for an interview or a media shoot, let them know we want giga coasters, not simulators and jeep rides.

Speed rules.
If you are going to ask for a coaster, don't ask for a giga. It's unrealistic and they wont take you seriously. There is a 200 ft. height restriction in Orlando.

1) IOA has height restrictions, don't expect anything to be built over 200 ft

2) building something that large would ruin the themeing for the rest of the part by looming so tall and breaking the illusion of the island you're in.
I would suggest that we all leave IOA alone and not go around asking them to build this and that. They have people whose jobs are to decide what to build, and they don't need coaster nerds bothering them. Let them do their bloody job.

You know, I keep hearing about this height restriction. Can someone show me the "chapter and verse?" There sure are a lot of buildings and radio towers over 200 feet in Orlando.

Amazing how little urban legends fester into facts.

Here's something for you. I watched several Universal execs have a seat in the Nitro car at IAAPA and talked it up with the B&M folks. Interpret that as you will.

All IOA would have to do to build over 200 ft. is get a permit from the city of Orlando, and probabally come to some terms with the airport nearby.
