The Board of Legislators on Monday unanimously approved a $1 a year lease over 10 years in exchange for millions in renovations at one of the historic bathhouses at Playland Amusement Park in Rye. The long-awaited word comes after a seemingly wild ride that included fundraising in a rough economy, a change in county executive and other obstacles.
