New Busch Tampa chief talks about changes in the industry and the future

Dan Brown returned to Busch Gardens in mid-May to become general manager of the theme park where he began his career in 1975 as a part-time parking lot employee. He spoke with The Tampa Tribune to talk about the company, the industry and the park's future.

Really nice interview. The longer evening hours should help the park attendance. They will have to work to minimize the impact on the animals. I suspect that this is why the hours have been restricted in the past.
I always thought the park wasn't open in the evenings is because of the neighborhoods around the park. I do know that they have put up quite a few sound barrier walls around the perimeter of the park and parking lot in the last 5 years so that may have allowed the change.

Most of the animals are away from people in the first place plus they can move most of them to secluded places if needed. So I doubt that is why they haven't done this in the past.
