New Batwing construction pictures released on COASTERnet

COASTERnet has released ten construction pictures of the East Coast's first flying coaster - Batwing. The pictures show in detail the ride's yellow track and purple supports and the current progress on the coaster itself.

[In addition to the photos on COASTERnet, check these photos out of on-site construction.]

Coasternet appears to be down right now. I took a look at all the pieces on Saturday, and the headline isn't kidding about a ton of parts. The pieces take up almost the entire length of the employee parking lot. The park was operating on Saturday for a coporate party and I did see S:ROS running and also cranes operating in the area of Batwing. I guess Batwing is far enough away from Superman that they can build without potentially harming anyone in that area. It's interesting how this coaster is being built "backwards" to X Flight.

That page is sooo slow it can't load, I just looked at Sam A. Marks' page.
Sorry if the page is slow to load but I already compressed the pictures to about a fifth of their original sizes. And Cn was down temporarily but has been back up ever since.

Something is puzzling me, I saw on Coasternet that SFA is saying the coaster will be ready for May 24th?????? Is this right, there still seems like loads more to do, Surely it wont be ready for that date, May 24th is only 1 month and 2 weeks away, It just seems impossible for it all to be ready for that date, I predict a opening date for something like End of June. Well if it is all ready for May 24th, I would be very suprised indeed
PaulD it looks like all the footers are in place so it's entirely possible that Batwing will be ready by May 24th. I'm not sure if you have tracked the progress of X-Flight, but it's gone up incredibly fast. Six weeks seems sufficient to put up a coaster of this size. The weather is the only variable that could put a damper on things.
I've just compressed some of the images more and added a new shot of the vertical construction (not too current though but a pan of S:RoS & BW)
