New theme water park near Ottawa

No, this ain't the Proslide waterpark, but another company based in Quebec. Valcartier, which already owns and operates "Canada's largest waterpark" in Quebec announced today they would build a 30 million dollars water park near Ottawa, close to the highway that links Ottawa and Montreal

"Sunnyland" will occupy 450 acres, will feature a wave pool, water slides, adventure river and kid activites. It will also have a 700 sites campground. They're also bragging it will be a "theme water park".

If their theming is anywhere near what they did at their Quebec City waterpark, it will be great!

The park will be open for Canada's long, hot summer from July 1 until July 31 ;)

LOL.. Well, at their Quebec City water park, Valcartier found the solution to that: turn some of the water slides into snow slides! You board rafts, tubes, etc. and go down. So, they almost have a year round operation going there...

Since I don't want to start a new thread and since Ottawa is in Ontario and there is already new water park being annouced... I thought id like to share that there is a SECOND new park in the works for Ontario. Greath North Parks is planning on building a $30 million park in Smith Falls, ON. SOURCE.

The snow slide thing sounds amazing I think that would probably be on of the tightest things to go ride a tornado slide with snow on it.
