its europes biggest ride for next year, and one of the few coasters under construction at the moment that has some major track elements going up. its also gonna be one of the best themed coasters ever.
What is the theme of it going to be?

its gonna be themed around a volcano which is gonna house the station and some of the pre lift track. the volcano itself is gonna be about 17 meters high and had to actually have its own planning permission granted!

Why not? And don't say it's only this tall, or only has four inversions.

Looks pretty cool. I can't wait to see what it looks like when all the theming is done.

The reason we want to talk about this coaster is that it actually appears to be something different from B&M. It isn't a clone, and it seems as though it will be heavily themed. It is incredibly low profile as well, so that certainly appeals to me. The feeling of speed is going to be amazing. One other thought about it is that many Coasterbuzzers are from Europe. We aren't all from Ohio for God's sake.;)

I just like the interlocking corkscrews on it, since it's the first single inverted coaster to pull that off. It's one nice looking coaster. I imagine it's going to pull some major Gs with those small elements and very sharp turns.

Maybe NI will be my next HR coaster recreation.
I must say those interlocking corks are sexy lookin'! Nice job they're doing on this on the coaster alone; great colors, layout, and setting. Can't wait til all the theming is done.

This coaster is getting better day by day. Bigger doesn't always mean better and NI will be a testament to that. Those tight curves and compact inversions; gah that looks fun!

Does this thing go faaaaaast!

What Calypso is this based around? Most certainlt not the Greek Calypso, unless we were talking about sexy immortal ladies ;)

That purple & yelow SLC being constructed at Terra Mitca right now is bigger than this in size, but will it be as thrilling? FORGET ABOUT IT!

this coaster looks awesome. Its the B:TDK of inverts! hope to see a clone in states sometime in the future.

The more pictures I see of construction progressing on this coaster, the more I want to go to this park just to ride this coaster. The drop out of the station just looks cool as heck. Then you go back underneath the station to the lift hill! That's impressing the fire right out of me! (then again, it doesn't take a whole heck of a lot does it :) ) I've said it once, it's worthy of repition, I love the color scheme!

Don't tell me the volcano will be taller than NI itself! Sorry, I had to say that. ;)

The more I watch the progress, the more I reckon it will be more intense than Talon. It looks furious as hell.

quote: "What Calypso is this based around? Most certainlt not the Greek Calypso, unless we were talking about sexy immortal ladies"

the original project name for the ride was Project Calypso. many rides in the UK have project names that never really mean anything unless you really read into them. air was called SW5 and colossus was called Project Odyssey. they have reasons for being called this, but it really has nothing to do with the ride at all. Project Calypso was called this because the park area the ride is in is called Calypso Quay, nothing else really, no sexy greek ladies

And the ride is about 29m tall and the volcano will be about 17m tall, so the themeing wont be taller than the ride itself, but that would be impressive! and this ride gets my vote for the most intense B&M inverted ever, bar none. maybe even the most intense B&M ever. i presonally think that it only has to beat nemesis, alpengeist, talon, dueling dragons and B:TR clones to take the title which i dont think will be too hard.

This thing looks like it will have a nice tight layout. I wish I could go to England to ride this thing.
