There's community pressure to persuade Michigan's Adventure amusement park to connect to Muskegon County's wastewater system. The park treats sanitary wastewater in two treatment lagoons and several discharge beds behind the park. The park is seeking re-authorization from the state's Department of Environmental Quality to increase the amount of wastewater it treats and releases into the groundwater.

I would be more worried about the parks waste going into Muskegon's sewer system, as Muskegon already has enough problems dealing with the system it has. There has always been a smell and problems with the paper mills that are right on the muskegon water front. So, any locals thinking connecting MA to an already sad sewer system, is a good Idea, are not looking at the whole picture. I would think connecting to a sad sewer system, will be a quicker leap to Lake Michigan, then the parks current system.
The current system must not be a problem, or the state would be taking a more serious look at it.
I didn't do it! I swear!!
