I have never been to kennywood and i hear that you get tickets at the rides or can you get one ticket for all and what order should i go on the rides to make the best time ? Going on sat 7/14
It depends on how long you are staying. If you have the time, I would plan on staying all day. You should buy the Ride All Day pass, which is only about $25. I would get there early when the park opens (10:30) so you can get an early start on the rides (the rides don't start until 11:00)
First, you should hit the Phantom's Revenge. By the time you go, two train operation should begin so you won't have to wait in line for 1 1/2 hours. After that, you should probably hit the Exterminator (at the back of Lost Kennywood) because the lines for that can get long later in the day.
Then, you can pretty much ride whatever you want. If I were you, I would hit the Thunderbolt early in the day also. Or if it's really hot, maybe a water ride or two would be good to ride early to avoid the long lines.
Generally, the lines aren't too bad for the rides and coasters. Since there are no more school picnics this year, the crowds should be pretty low.
If you need a map, stop in at Guest Services by the Bayern Kurve, Pirate, and Enterprise. The maps are a one page xerox map, with very little detail. You don't really need a map because the park is just one big loop. If you need a more detailed map, just look at the full-size ones in front of the windmill near the entrance or by the carousel.
There is no set closing time for the park. Depending on the crowds, Kennnywood will make the decision when to close the park. The 'Voice of Kennywood' will come on the loud speakers and tell you when closing time will be, whether it's 9pm or 11pm, or whenever.
Enjoy your time at the 'Wood!
