Need SFDL and SFWOA help

As part of my little coaster "jaunt" we are going to Niagara Falls. Well to my pleasant surprise SFDL is not too far away. I just plan on riding the coasters while I am there, because I am going to SFWOA the same day. How long do you think it will take to ride the coasters at DL? It will be Monday Aug11th when we are there. Also does anyone know how far it is (time wise) to SFWOA from SFDL? Mapquest is soooo far off most of the time, that I it's not even reliable. Any help would be appreciated.

It shouldn't take long to ride SFDL's coasters. Mondays are usually very light in terms of crowds, so I'd say you could have all 5 adult coasters done in about 2-3 hrs. max as long as everything's running two trains.

edited cause im an idiot and gave the time to sandusky, not woa.

they have mind eraser and the boomerang, the same exact coasters as woa. so you dont need to hit those.

As long as theres not a concert Monday night at SFDL you should be able to do all 5 in a few hours. But be warned, S:RoS is addictive. I've been known to ride that all day long with the other coasters sprinkled in here and there. As for drive time to SFWoA, we made it there from SFDL in about 4 hours with a stop for lunch. If you go to Yahoo! Maps, the directions are very good. Its a straight shot across I-90 most of the way and then as you head into Cleveland it veers off. Are you going to CP after? Thats about an hour and a half away from SFWoA. Have fun and let me know if you have any questions about SFDL.

Time wise from the Buffalo area to Worlds of Adventure is around 3hrs. Give or take, depending on traffic and speed. If you factor in Darien Lake, you can add an additional 30 to 45 minutes to the time, and you're looking at around 3 and a half hrs to 4 hrs from one park to the other.

I don't see how you'll make both parks in 1 day when it seems the majority of the time will be spent travelling! You CAN do all of SFDL's coasters (ALL... read: even clones) in a matter of a couple hrs. It's just a matter if you want to hit anything else there.

There are a couple of flats you might want to ride at SFDL. But yes, drive time should be no more than three hours if you travel with traffic. Make sure there isn't a concert at SFDL that day, or you'll be waiting an hour and a half for the Mind Eraser, then kick yourself afterwards. One ride won't cut it for S:RoS, as it is very addictive. It tends to get stuck on the lift quite a bit so it may only be running one train. Allow yourself 4 hours to ride all the coasters there and S:RoS twice.
Good luck, as Ozzfest is that very same day.
Well yes we will only be riding the coasters and then leaving. Will probably skip the clones as I don't do Boomerangs or SLCs. It was more of an "oh there's another SF park nearby" sort of thing and I thought I would see if it's even worth stopping. Yes to answer someone's question, we are on our way to CP. Our trip goes IB, MiA, SFDL, SFWoA, CP, CP, PKI, SFKK, HW. We will be completely dead by time it's over :) MiGQuest03

Your ride from SFDL to SFWOA is exactly 31/2 hours not a very long was away from SFDL.

Your Park only has 1 good coaster! That's too bad!

If you're not riding the SLC or Boomer, that's only three coasters to ride. The Arrow (can't remember the name) and Preditor should be walk-ons. S:ROS should be the only wait. You could be out of there in an hour.

Some advice for the S:ROS station: when you make it through the door on the station, move to the left side and make your way toward the front of the train. Everyone tends to pile up near the door, leaving the front much less crowded.

Without the chaindog, you'd never get up the lifthill...

Is S:RoS a front or a back seat coaster? I have found that I usually prefer the back seat on hypers (Mamba, Titan, Goliath, Ragin' Bull, etc) - does that ring true here? On Predator, is this a woodie where I will have to ride aggressively? I know some woodies, that if you don't ride in a "jockey style" it will kill your back.

As for SFWoA - any tips on rides?

A few coaster tips for SF:WoA

X-Flight- Ride towards the front. I dunno, it just seemed cooler than the back when I rode it.

Big Dipper- If you like a rough and tumble woodie, ride in the back. It is rough but very extreme back there.

Raging Wolf Bobs- VERY ROUGH on the first half. Smooth as a Beemer on the second. The G-Trains made it better, but I won't ride it until the first half is retracked.

S:UE- Last I heard it was down. Standard Impulse.

Villian- Last time I rode it (2000) it was good.

Batman: Knight Flight- Great ride. My first floorless and i loved it. Definate ride. Had front row seats, but we had to move cause I needed the one with 2 seatbelts.

Serial Thriller- SLC. Quite enjoyable though.

Mind Eraser- Boomerang. Also quite enjoyable.

Double Loop- Great old Arrow. Really smooth.

RoadRunner Express- Standard kiddie coaster. I think its a Vekoma RollerSkater.

Thats all. Have a good time at SF:WoA!

My signature has MANY problems...............
TAER IT DOWN!1!!!111!!1!!1!!!1!1111!

I made this track 2 weeks ago. Not both parks in 1 day. But DL has 2 clones that SFWOA has. Hit Superman and Preditor and then head for SFWOA.

If you ride Predator at the very front, you should be fine. Also, S: RoS does deliver quite a bit of air in the back, especially on hot, sunny days.
I think that more than likely we will ride S:RoS and Predator and then take off. Viper didn't look too "woohoo". SFWoA looks intriguing and I am curious to see how it matches up to the other parks in OH.

What color are the season pass parking decals at SFWoA and SFDL? Are they red?

I think
SFDL's are yellow. I don't know about SFWoA's, though.
Just on a related note- does anybody know where SFDL Ultimate guide WEb Page went to?
