Need help with brake

I have a vertical track section (going down) on which I have a brake so the train stops before the drop.  It seems like everything is set correctly, but the train just goes right through the brake.  Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?

The brake it set with:  no block, complete stop, speed limit 8 km/h, hysteresis 5 km/h, deceleration 1g, no friction wheels.

Thanks.

It's possible that it's still accelerating it with the lift.  Also, check to see that it activates early enough to stop the train with only 1 G of deceleration.  (could try higher deceleration too).  But I think the issue will be that the lift is still pushing the train over.

I think you should activate friction wheels at 3KPH, deceleration 4g's. Speed limit 5KPH, and hytheresis 1KPH

I think that'll fix it because you would be decelerating a lot faster. Besides, if you have set speed limit to 8 kph and hytheresis 5 kph, that means your train wont stop 'til it's 13kph or higher

I dont know if I explained myself well, but I think that would work

Right on, Daniel--that fixed it!  It also helped to move the trigger to the beginning of the brake segment.  Thanks!
Your welcome!
