Need help on deciding on a park for midwest trip..

On my midwest trip next year, i have to pick 2 out of these 3 parks to go to.

Big Chief's Karts and Coasters

Michigan's Adventure

SDC/CC

I'm leaning towards going to sdc/cc and big chief. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks

Both MIA and SDC/CC are full fleged parks, while Big Chief is 3 coasters by a road. Go to the amusment parks before going to Big Chief.

I dont care what anyone says Magnum is better then MF, which is better then TTD!

I agree with everything above. MiA and SDC/CC are both too good to miss.

As Mitch always said, "2-in-1 is a BS term, because 1 is not big enough to hold 2. That's why 2 was created.."

Timbers, Cyclops, Ozark Wildcat----Three killer woodies. As much as I love Timbers, I actually get just as much enjoyment out of going to Big Chief's, as MIA is one of my least favorite parks. However, the combination of SDC/CC is fantastic, so definitely at least make a trip to Branson.

Thanks for your input. Now, I've decided that sdc/cc is a must. Now it comes down to, should i go to Big Chief or MiA???
You do realize that SDC/CC is more than ten hours from Big Chief, right? Why don't you find a park closer to the ones you've decided on? Especially when you'd pass several parks on the way to BC...

Yes, i do realize that. I'm just looking for someone's input about which is better; MiA or Big Chiefs?
All depends on what you're looking for. Big Chief's features two awesome CCI woodies, a nice CCI kiddie, and hopefully Triton will be operating; MiA features one awesome CCI woodie and a nice CCI kiddie, plus a mad mouse, corkscrew, and the Wolverine Wildcat.

I'd lean towards MiA since you have a couple more coasters and a water park for your ticket.

Both Big Chief and MiA are trashy. Go to SFGAm.

I've heard that ST was running much slower now even without any trimming so I think CF may be slacking in the maintenence department or they are trying to find ways to slow it down without brakes so now I have a feeling Big Chief's coasters are running better now.
I can't say as i've been to either park, so take my opinion for what it's worth. However, just about every TR I've read (even ones from other reputable sites like Coastergrotto) has said that Big Chiefs is a nasty place to visit.

I've read that the staff is extremely rude, the rides don't always run, and the prices are steep. I've also read that many of the ride ops aren't trained or don't care about safety procedures - letting people ride without checking restraints, and even leaving restraints open. It sounds to me that, although the coasters are good, you wouldn't want to spend a whole day there - just ride the coasters once or twice and leave.

If anyone has a more positive experience about Big Chiefs, please feel free to disagree with me. I'm just going on what i've read.

S:ROS; SFNE. Ride it, and you'll understand.

Bigf Chief is certainly a hole, but the coasters are definitely good enough to warrant a visit (especially if you can get night rides on Zeus). Some of the problems mentioned above certainly do exist, but I've never had a problem with ride ops being rude, and all of the rides are always running.

As for restraints, well, hopefully you're educated enough to secure yourself...
