Need Help

I'm trying to install RCT3 AGAIN, but this time after I click play, some stupid thing comes up and says "Please insert the original disc instead of a backup. See www.securom.com/copy for more details". What the h*** does this mean?!?!

Are you using the original disc that came with the game or a burned copy? If you are using the original disk I'd wipe it off and try again. If your using a burned copy it won't work.

I had the same problem on my older computer. Mabye it could be that the disc isn't clean. I just bought a new computer but thats the easy way out. :)

I was using the original disc. And maybe I do need to clean it, because later on I saw this wierd thing on the disc so I guess I better clean it. Thanks for the help.

I had the same problem, EXACT same message.

It's not your disk. It's the CD drive. The drive thinks that the CD isn't 'real' and it won't work. Somehow, I don't know how, some guy on the Atari forums walked me through how to fix it with an illegal CD patch and a few drivers and stuff like that.
