Natural Disasters At Amusement Parks

does anyone know if sfmm got any damage during earthquakes? because it's pretty close to the fault
During the 1971 Silmar quake.
Michigan's Adventure got nailed in 1998, I think, but what meterologists called 'shear winds' but ground sighters called tornadoes.
In any event, 100mph winds threw trees all over the park, smashing a couple of flats, and totaling the mini-golf and putt-putt cars. It also smashed the old entrance, which lead to the new entrance location.
Dawg Byte check the coaster rollback it lists abunch of weather related disaster's, including one down the road from me at celeron park in chautauqua NY(actual its in celeron/lakewood) but a tornado damaged a coaster and ferris wheel in 59.

If parks get destroyed or damaged they do have insourance to cover up there damaged rides, or do they not? Just recently in the past few weeks in Minnesota we have been getting pounded with high winds, hail, heavey rains & 46 tornadoes so far this spring. Valleyfair again missed more tornadoes that passed from the northeast and southwest again! thank god. But I'm sure latter this summer we will get nailed again.
my friend was at CP about a year or 2 ago. There was a water tornado.
