Nashville Metro Council Approves Theme Park Proposal Study

thrillerman1

In a meeting Tuesday night, the metro council passed a resolution for a theme park study for Nashville. Quoting from an email I received from council member Charlie Tygard, "Right now, the ball is in the Mayors, the Mayor's Office of Tourism and the Nashville Convention & Visitors Bureau to produce a report answering 'the feasibility of & actions required' to help a theme park locate in Nashville".

The Nashville City Paper ran a story on it here.

Any chance this project with the sweet looking Beema is still alive and a potential prospect?

I didn't post this as news, in case you were wondering, because it doesn't add anything new from August 9.

Jeff I think the only difference in the 2 news articles is that the proposed resolution in the first news article was passed by the metro council this week (as noted in the 2nd article). That's HUGE news to us here in Nashville. It'd be nice to finally have a home park again by say 2007, whether it be by an independent developer or a company like CF, Busch, or Paramount. I can dream can't I?

Jomo...I believe the Thrillopolis proposal is dead. I still like the name though. That is a sweet looking B&M...hadn't seen that before so thanks for posting the link.

Council rejected it, they then started looking elsewhere for a location. Heard nothing of it since.

Pardon our dust...Signature is building for your future enjoyment!
