A bill requiring fair commissioners to ask for proposals for a theme park at the Tennessee state fairgrounds was withdrawn from consideration by the bill’s sponsor, Bruce Stanley, during Tuesday’s Metro Council meeting. Stanley said he planned to submit a resolution about the theme park idea at a future meeting. Instead of requiring the fair board to ask for proposals, the resolution would ask them to consider asking for proposals.
