That was the fairground coaster in Atlanta. It hadn't operated for quite some time, due to a fire in the motor house. It had been condemed and was slated for demolition when Hal Needham,the director, offered to do the job for them. Made for a spectacular scene and saved the city of Atlanta some bucks.
